This hotel is an absolute gem! the prices are incredibly reasonable, offering great value for money. Secondly, the attention to detail is impressive, with rooms that have a view of the mountain at no extra charge. It's such a treat to wake up to a breathtaking view of the Matterhorn! The staff are also very friendly and provide excellent service. Lastly, the breakfast provided is delicious and a great way to start the day.

It is within a 15-minute walk from matterhorn museum and right by mountaineer's cemetery. Great location and room was good. It's a lovely base for skiing...

The innkeeper, Diana was very kind and helpful. She upgraded us to a bigger room with a huge porch overlooking the Matterhorn at no extra charge.

The hotel is at the end of the village. It's a 20 minute walk from the train station. I actually prefer the location; it's quieter at night and the view of the Matterhorn from the hotel breakfast area and back yard is the best of all area hotels. Also, if you're planning on taking a gondola for skiing or snow boarding, this location is quite convenient.

The view from here was perfect, and the property is conveniently located just 1 km away from gorner gorge.

It was exciting to actually be sleeping in the Swiss Alps. The hike up to the hotel, though by no means easy, contributed to the alpine experience. The view from the breakfast room was beautiful and the breakfast was enjoyable. The bedroom was immaculate.

We were in the room under the roof. Although it was quaint, the shower was under the slanted roof and we had to kneel to shower. Also the hike up to the hotel may be too much for some people. If you take the bus, there is still quite a bit of climbing to do after you get off the bus. We did not price the taxi service.

Fantastic mountain views, relaxed atmosphere and pet-friendly

My partner and I loved the stunning mountain views from our room’s balcony. It was worth reserving a room in advance to get a room with a view of the mountain. Plus, the hotel's location was away from the hustle and bustle of the city, which made it perfect for a relaxing break. The pet-friendly policy was a great perk since we traveled with our furry friend.

We had trouble reaching the hotel with our luggage due to the steep hill leading to it. Though it was in a great location close to the ski-lifts and walking trails, it was a long walk to the train station and the city center.

The hotel was up a big hill that was very inconvenient to get to and from. The receptionist was rude beyond belief. We did not enjoy our stay at Hotel Bijou. There are about 100 hotels to choose from I would suggest any of them, other than Hotel Bijou. Also, the advertised rate that we booked is not what we received once we arrived.

The location at the upper end of Zermatt, just above the cable car to Furi and Glacier Paradise, is ideal for hikes into the mountains or catching the cable car. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and welcoming. There are excellent views of the Matterhorn from the hotel's balconies and breakfast room. The hotel is just a short down-hill walk (steep in places) down a forested trail from the Findelbach stop on the Gornergrat rail line. My room was not fancy, but nicely remodelled and good for the price. The breakfasts were typical of what I've found elsewhere in Zermatt in this price-range, and they had American-style coffee.

If you are staying in one of the side rooms on the fourth floor, the ceilings slope and you can hit your head easily. The shower in these rooms is too low for standing: you have to use the tub. I travel light and enjoy hiking in the mountains, so the distance from the train station and the short up-hill climb wasn't a problem, but it could be for some. If you plan to walk in the mountains, this is not even worth mentioning - the distance and height are insignificant on those terms.

This hotel exceeded our expectations in so many ways. the location on a hill just outside the town gave us the most stunning and uninterrupted view of the Matterhorn. We couldn't believe that we got to wake up to such a breathtaking sight every morning. Secondly, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always going out of their way to assist us and make us feel welcome. Lastly, the rooms were clean and comfortable, with nice Matterhorn views at no extra charge. It was amazing to be able to enjoy such magnificent scenery right from our own room. The buffet breakfasts were also a great way to start our day, with a good selection of options to choose from.

The place was amazing !!!! I was bit worried reading other people's reviews how far the hotel from the town centre is. No way, not far at all and so easy to find!! Beautiful location, room with Matterhorn view...friendly staff, great breakfast...Ideal :) Would definitely stay there again.

The fact that we arrived and found a welcome letter with our name in there and the key, I liked it. No need to bother talking on showing papers.The view to Cervin, amazing! and the room was big and comfortable, we also had a balcony.

The situation, it was not that easy to reach the hotel the first time, it is a bit hidden (although we can consider this as a good point as the environment was quiet and we love this).

Spectacular and unspoiled view of the mountains. Very close to the cable car station for easy access to the top of the mountain. Friendly and accommodating staff. Complimentary upgrade to rooms with direct view of the mountains

Couldn't find any faults at all.

The bathroom especialy the shower for this price is a shit and the carpet (dirty). Then half an hour for walking to the center. The taxis are 26 and 35 (!!) Sfr. one way !!!

Magnificent family hotel! It is located in 5 minutes of walking from the lift, for those who is adjusted more time to spend on slopes hotel is ideal. Very friendly personnel, always ready to help. Convenient numbers. A beautiful kind on mountains. To center Zermatt of 10-15 minutes on foot. The excellent relation of the price and quality.

The breakfast could be better. Especially coffee. Has very much surprised presence of payment for the safe in number, you should pay for each closing of the safe.
